Beautifully Brutal…

Nothingface… Birthed in the basement of a beat up house in Maryland, their unique guttural and aggressive sound, combined with their socially conscious and unrestrained vocals, instantly put them on the map up and down the east coast of the US when they hit the scene in 1994. Their violently intense live performances quickly became legendary, and word began to spread... The band's most well-known lineup featured vocalist Matt Holt, guitarist Tom Maxwell, bassist Bill Gaal, and drummer Chris Houck. Tommy Sickles (drums) and Jerry Montano (bass) would also join the lineup at various points during the bands later years. After signing with local indie label DCide Records, the band continued their relentless attack on stages across the US, achieving underground success with the release of their ‘Pacifier’ and ‘An Audio Guide to Everyday Atrocity’ albums. The band soon caught the attention TVT Records and signed with the label in 2000, releasing the albums ‘Violence’ and ‘Skeleton’ . Nothingface disbanded in 2003, leaving behind a brutal and beautiful legacy of passion and aggression.
